It's been months since I wrote last. I feel like life has finally started to slow down and now I have the chance to actually sit and write. I kind of forgot I even had a blog.

A lot has happened in the past couple months.

We rented out the condo and moved in to a house across town. Best decision ever. We tossed around the idea for a while but were kind of lazy about it. We decided to to try and find a renter first and see where that took us. We put the condo up for rent and within 24 hours we found an awesome lady to move in.

We're living in an actual house now with a yard and finished basement that has tons of room for the kids to be crazy. While I do sometimes hate this house, I feel like we made the best decision for our family. Hopefully we buy a house though, whether it be this one or a different one, soon. Allie seems so much happier being able to roam free and I'm happy that I don't have to pack all three kids up in order to go to the park so they get some outside time. Loren has his garage and room to do whatever he wants and I now have all the space I need for all our stuff.

Loren is still truck driving and things are going pretty good. He and Adam both got new trucks a couple months ago and so far things seem to be working out. They had a couple weeks where at least one truck was being worked on but thankfully they worked their way out of it.

I started working pretty much full time and while I'm at work, the kids are at a new babysitter who they love. I was taking the kids to work with me but now that the babies are crawling it just got to be too much to deal with. I had three kids going in three different directions while I was trying to work. They would get bored, I would get annoyed and it just wasn't working all the way around. I've been making a decent amount of extra money and it feels good to be able to help provide for our kids. We lost ourselves a little with spending money but I came up with our new budget and savings goals so hopefully we get back on track here soon.

Loren turned 30 earlier this month and I threw him a birthday party. We ended up having about 30 people show up to celebrate with us and it was a really good time. It felt amazing having a place where we were able to host a large party.

So now on to our little loves...

Allie Mae is doing amazing. Her speech has really taken off the past 8 months or so and her little brain has been acting as a sponge. She is learning so many new things and soaking up everything. She's been enjoying her summer spending most of it outside and playing with other kids. She's been adjusting okay with having a brother and sister. She has her good days and bad days. Some days she loves them and wants to be all over them and others she pushing them down and freaking out if they touch anything of hers. She will get used to it and hopefully the older the babies get, the funner it will be for her. She still loves animals and doing anything outdoors. She is the biggest daddy's girl I know. She loves cereal and stuffing things into her backpacks. She is the most beautiful three year old I know.

Charlie Ann and Raymond have also been doing really well. They are now almost 10 months old. I can't even believe how fast time flies when you have twins. I feel like we just brought them home yesterday and now all of a sudden their huge and have teeth! Raymond now has three teeth and Charlie will be pushing that third one out any day now. They both are crawling around like champs and have started eating big people food. Raymond will eat pretty much anything except apples and Charlie loves all fruit, anything else makes her gag. Raymond just started standing on his own and I'm pretty sure walking is right around the corner. Charlie is way too interested in bouncing when she gets on her feet so I'm thinking walking is going to take a while. They both love their big sister and no one is ever able to make them laugh as much as she does.

So all in all, things are going really good. I'm hoping now that I kind of got caught up I can keep going with this. Things get crazy around here and the last thing on my mind is sitting down to write. Any down time I have, all I want to do is sleep!

The Hamm family has been busy busy lately. Big things are happening and with it finally feeling like Spring we've been spending a lot of time outside.

This time last year life changed drastically for us. Loren started trucking and soon after we found out we were having twins. While life isn't throwing us a huge twin curveball again (thank God), things are changing big time. Loren was laid off from the union last Thursday. I was a little pissed about it at first but after talking to him about it, I realized it is for the best. We knew he'd be going back to trucking soon so this is giving him some time to get ready. They bought a new truck last week so Loren will be using his days off getting it ready. He needs plates, they still need to sell the old Mack and Loren wants to get the service truck cleaned up and reorganized. I'm so excited he's going back. I seriously can't wait to go on ride alongs again. There's just something about riding in a semi that totally lifts my spirits.

We also have some other things that we'll be trying to get done this week. Loren will be training me for my Concealed Carry License and we are hoping to do some random little projects to the condo to get it ready to be rented out. I'm praying we'll be able to move late spring/early summer.

Besides Loren's job change, I decided I'd like to go back to work. I found a fantastic sitter last week and had my first day back last Thursday. I'm cleaning again. It's not the most glamorous job but it pays really good and I can pretty much make my own schedule. I'll most likely be working about 3 days a week and about 5-6 hours a day.  It's kind of scary because I think it's so important to be at home with my kids but I have a feeling it will be just fine.

This week we don't really have anything planned. We did a lot over the weekend, including a kid free night of drinking with friends, so I feel like we're going to need a couple days to recover from that. I swear, the hangovers get worse and worse with age. I need to start planning Loren's 30th birthday party so I think I'll be working on that. I'm going to try and plan a camping trip with some friends. I'm super excited.

Other than that we'll pretty much just be hanging out. It snowed over night so that's super sucky. I have to work tomorrow and since Loren is off he'll be with the kids for the day.

Well time to start getting the tribe ready for bed.

Loren and I have been at each others throats lately, and even with our negative attitudes towards each other, I feel like we finally had a weekend where we got some important things done. AND without killing one another.

We had my parents watch the kids for a couple hours so I could do a couple photo shoots and Loren could get the babies crib put up. After I was done with the shoots, I came home to help Loren finish up and afterwards we both went to Walmart to get some quick grocery shopping done. Allie was super excited that she was going to be sharing her room with the babies from now on. I love how everything turned out and (crossing my fingers) I love that they are all sleeping really well.

I still have a couple more projects that need to be done before I'm completely satisfied. Allie destroyed the carpet so I really need to shampoo that, I also need to fix the drapes/drape rod, I used to have really long drapes hanging so the rod is up high and now with the shorter drapes it just looks goofy.

So anyway...The first night went great. All three of them slept until about 9am and they all woke up happy. I was nervous about Allie possibly trying to climb in the crib with the babes but Loren taught her how to look at them through the bars so now it seems like she isn't even thinking about trying it.

Sunday Loren watched the babes while Mom, Sarah and I took Allie Mae to the Disney Junior Live Pirates and Princess Adventure show in Rosemont. Allie freakin loved it! I'm pretty sure she was stunned for the first 10 minutes of the show. She sat on my lap with her mouth wide open in awe. During the intermission, I took her to get a souvenir and she picked out a light up Jake sword. I also got her two banners to hang in the kids' room and she got the take a picture with Jake and Izzy. Afterwards we went out to lunch at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. It was just ok. The place was huge and while the pickle fries and honey bbq sauce were amazing, the ambiance was sub par. I feel like the place needed more decor or something. It was all very bland. All well though, the food was good so I guess that's all that really matters.

Well, now it's Monday night.

It's supposed to be near 60 degrees tomorrow so I'm thinking about taking Allie to the park. She will freak if we get to do that. I also need to stop at Sally's Beauty and get some hair dye and also make a quick run to Walmart for some randoms that we forgot to get over the weekend.

The rest of the week should be pretty easy going. Nothing else is really planned. I've got Zumba on Wednesday and I'm sure at some point Loren will be bowling with Adam. No plans for this coming weekend and hopefully it stays that way. Easter is now less than a month away so I really need to start getting the kids' baskets together. Maybe I'll start that this weekend?
