Another coupon trip down that I feel pretty good about.

I've been trying to find some diaper deals and I finally found a pretty decent one at CVS a couple days ago.

This was the first time I've ever shopped there and I honestly don't think I'll ever go back unless a good enough deal comes up. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to the store or their coupon policy, but I was so confused with how their store card works. Luckily the cashier was a huge help.

Here's my little haul:

They were offering a $20 gift card for every $30 spent on certain products and Huggies and Pull Ups were a couple of those items.

Here's the the breakdown

1st Trans:
4 packs of Pull Ups
On sale for 8.99 each
- $8.50 mfr coupons
$30.25 inc tax + I received a $10 gc

2nd Trans:
4 packs of Huggies diapers
On sale for 8.99 each
- $8.50 mfr coupons
- $10 gc
$20.25 inc tax + another $10 gc

3rd Trans:
1 package of 320 ct Huggies wipes
Regular price 11.99
- .50 mfr coupon
- $2.40 20% off coupon
$9.83 inc tax
- $10 gc
Free + .17 left on gc

Everything at regular price would have been about $115 and I spent $50.

It's a good deal but I really don't think I'll shop there again unless a great deal comes up. I'd rather shop at Walgreens.

I've got some other trips planned for tomorrow as soon as I get the coupons I need. Nothing too huge though.

I finally had the time today to go out and get a little bit of couponing done. I'm not a huge couponer. I'll go into the gas station to get 1 or 2 papers for the inserts, but most of the time I just use what I can get off the computer. I don't have the room to be an extreme couponer anyway.

So last night I found a couple different deals that I could do with printable coupons at Target. (I love couponing at Target by the way.)

Here's what I got:

2 Pantene Spray in Conditioners for $3.99 each = $7.98
2 Pantene Shampoos for $3.99 each = $7.98
2 Pantene Conditioners for $3.99 each = $7.98
= $23.94 before coupons
I used...
- One $5/$20 Beauty Purchase Coupon
- Two $4/2 Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner, or Styling products printable coupons
- Two $2/1 Pantene Styling Product printable coupons
Making all the hair products
$6.94!

I also got

2 Clorox Stain Remover Sprays for $2.55
= $5.10 before coupons
I used...
- One $1.50/2 Clorox Spray Items Target Coupon
- 15% OFF Clorox Cartwheel
- Two $1/1 Clorox 2 Product printable coupons
Making both stain removers
$1.06!

All together with tax, I spent $9.80

Not.too.shabby!

I only coupon for the things we will actually use and I'm not the one who gets upset if I don't get everything for free. If I get a really good deal, I'm happy.

Here are the links for the step by step if anyone wants to try these deals out

Also, if you haven't checked out Walmart's new Savings Catcher app, I would! Just in the last month Walmart has given me back $10.34

I don't know about everyone else, but I got some GREAT deals at Target this week!

They were having their baby sale this week and the deals were too good to pass up.

I ended up getting 8 boxes of diapers and 2 brand new 3 packs of Dr. Brown's bottles all for $140!

Here's how...

In the weekly sales paper they sent out a $20 off a $100 baby purchase coupon that included diapers. I also got one sent to via text so I had two to use.

Their diapers were also on sale this week. Huggies, Pampers and Luvs were Buy two boxes and get a free $10 gift card back.

Here's how I worked my deal.

For my first transaction I purchased 4 boxes of Huggies diapers (I went to two different Targets to find small Luvs, but neither one carried them so I had to get Huggies. I love my Luvs *sad face) at $24.99 each and one travel pack of wipes for $.99 to get to $100.95. After the $20 off coupon I spent about $80 and got $20 back in gift cards.

I purchased the same items for the second transaction. 4 boxes of Huggies diapers at $24.99 a piece and a travel pack of wipes for $.99. Everything came out to be the same amount, $100.95. This time I was able to use another $20 off coupon and the $20 in gift cards from the first transaction bringing the total down to about $60 with another $20 in gift cards given to me.

And finally for the third transaction I purchased 2 packages of Dr. Brown's bottles that I'll need for the babies.

Each pack was on sale for $12 a piece. I got 2 so that made it $24 and I used the $20 in gift cards from the second transaction making them only $4!

I got $225 worth of stuff for about $140! Woot!

This weekend has been a very uneventful yet relaxing weekend.

Yesterday I did some shopping around town with my mom and Allie. We stopped by JCP, Yankee Candle, Ulta (again), and Home Depot for more flowers. It was a whole day of coupon and clearance shopping. My favorite kind.

First we ran over to Home Depot so I could get another Strawberry hanging plant then we were off to Ulta. I got an email from P&G with a pretty sweet deal that I decided I had to have. I needed more mascara anyway so it worked out good.

The sample packets are way small but I was pretty impressed with the super cute bag and the size of the mascara and facial cream.

So I spent about $15 on this...

And got a whole bag full of free goodies. I'm good with it.

After Ulta we went to Yankee Candle because my mom had a 30% off everything coupon so I picked up somw room sprays (they smell amazing by the way) and a candle.

And then after Yankee we ran over to JCPenny to end the night. My mom just wanted to return something and make a payment so I didn't really think I was going to be doing any shopping. As we were getting ready to leave I decided to walk over to the purse section and I'm sooo glad I did. I found a really cute purse on clearance for $20 then found a wallet that matched it for $10. I was also able to use a 15% off coupon I got online while in store and spent a total of $25 on both. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Then I found some cute tops for Allie Mae which made our trip complete. I got all three of these tops for about $10...

Today was a nice relaxing day with just Loren and I. My parents wanted to watch Allie for the day so we dropped her off around 9am and went to the range for a couple hours. It was nice to get outside and enjoy the nice weather, especially with the way I've been feeling lately. I can tell Loren really likes when I go shooting with him so I'm going to tried to go more before the twins come. It makes me feel good to know that he likes to spend his free time with me.

Welp, that completes our weekend. Just like I said, uneventful yet relaxing.

I must say, Target has had some great deals lately. They're turning out to be a better place to coupon shop at than Walmart. Which is totally cool with me, I hate Walmart.

I went to Target tonight to grab some things with some coupons I had. Someone had posted on a fb group that Target had some of the battery powered cars marked down to 70% off in the stores, so I thought I would check that out while I was there.

While walking around the store checking out all the clearance items, I came across the one car left! I was confused at first because the sign above the car said 70% off, but the tag said it was only 30% off. I picked the huge box up and took it over to the nearest price checker and it came up as $53.98! I have never been so excited about a clearance item before in my life.

I got the White VW Beetle. Originally priced at $179.99

She is going to LOVE it!

I also got 4 L'Oreal Shampoos for .52 ($3.38 each on clearance) by using 2 manufacturers coupons ($10 off) and 3 Target coupons ($3 off), I got 2 up&up Children's Cough medicine (On sale for .89 each) for FREE by using 2 Target coupons ($2 off), and 2 Olay Fresh Effects lotions ($6.48 on Clearance) for $6.48 by using a B1G1 manufacturer coupon.

I spent about $7 all together on 8 products with a retail price of $45.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

After Christmas clearance shopping has been pretty sweet this week. I wasn't really planning on doing any clearance shopping, but I've been finding deals that were just too good to pass up.

I went over to Target on Saturday because I saw so many people talking about their 70% off toy clearance. I was disappointing walking into the isles because all I saw was a 50% off sign, BUT after looking at some of the tags, I realized a lot of the toys WERE marked 70% off. JACKPOT! After going through every last toy and looking at all the tags I decided to take a walk through the rest of the store to see if I could find anything else on sale.

I ended up getting 2 Febreeze air fresheners, 4 Softsoaps, a drink tumbler, a pack of butterfly tattoos, a Monsters U monster, a Doodle Bear and a Princess Sofia sweatshirt all for around $22. Saving myself over $50! It looks like Allie's Easter basket is well on it 's way.

After Target, we stopped over at Bath & Body Works real quick so I could get a couple free lotions I had coupons for and noticed they were having their semi-annual sale. With all the 75% off signs, I just couldn't bring myself to leave.

I ended up finding quite a few items I just had to get. For some reason I was all about getting anything tropical. I'm just so over the pine/Christmas scents.

Everything came out to be $25, which is awesome! One of those candles alone is $20 at full price!

I love a good sale, but I'm kind of hoping they're going to stop soon! I haven't shopped this much in so long, I feel like some old bad habits are going to arise. Lord help me and our bank account!

Finally! A couple productive days! Allie Mae has been sick with bronchitis and pneumonia for the past week and a half so we've been cooped up in the house all day long not really getting anything accomplished.

Yesterday I could tell she was finally starting to feel better (except for the cough) so in the afternoon we ventured out to Target so she could get some popcorn, aka cacorn, burn off some energy, and I could get some coupon shopping done. I found some really good deals all thanks to the Totally Target website. For a while, couponing got way too overwhelming. I was trying to buy everything with coupons and I was ending up spending more money on groceries than normal. I decided I was going to stick with Aldi for food, since they're cheaper even without coupons, and I was only going to coupon shop for the odd stuff like toiletries, office supplies and dog food.

Here's what I found:

2 Windex Touch-Ups, 1 Mitchum deodorant, 1 Garnier Fructis conditioner, 1 bottle of Nature Made vitamin gummies, 2 Glade candles and 2 bottles of Children's Triaminic cold medicine.

All these items would have been $31.44, but with Target coupons, Target Cartwheel, and manufacturers coupons, I got it all for $6.36! Not bad.

I also have been dabbling in some online shopping the past week. A lot of the stores are having huge after Christmas sales and I've been able to find some pretty sweet deals. I ordered some stuff off of the Disney Store website and found some really sweat clearance deals. I also found a 20% off code that I was able to use on top of the awesome prices. I got a Monsters U tumbler cup ($1.49), place mat ($1.49) and set of pjs ($4.50) all for $13 including shipping. Allie's on this major Monster U kick so I think she'll like what I found.

Well I'm off to bed. I've got a big day tomorrow.

The past couple weeks have gone by so fast. We've been trying canning for the first time, finishing up Christmas shopping, hunting, couponing and getting everything ready for Allie Mae's 2nd Birthday party.

So where do I start? Let's start with canning.

Loren ended up getting called off work last week and my MIL was taking Allie for the day so we used that opportunity to try out our new canner for the first time. Walmart had a great deal going on for Apples. I was able to get about 8lbs for about $4. I went out and bought all the supplies a couple of weeks ago and have been doing some research so as soon as I got the apples, I was ready to go.

It took a lot longer then I thought it was going to, but I think part of that was because we've never done it before so we didn't have a good system down. After setup was over it took us about 3 hours and we got about 14 jars out of it.

PICS

Beside canning, I've been dabbling in a bit of couponing. When I first started I got really overwhelmed really fast. After saving just about every coupon I came across, I decided I would calm down a bit and just concentrate on toiletries and anything other than food. I usually shop at Aldi and can't use any food coupons anyway.

Here are some of my hauls from the last couple weeks...

For my first haul I got all these Fisher Price toys for about $5.

This next haul was totally random, I ended up getting all this for $3.29

I've been couponing for these types of random things lately and have already got a huge stockpile of stuff. It's nice to not have to go out on a whim to buy shampoo or toothpaste. If I stopped purchasing toiletries right now, I would probably have enough to last another year.

Well, besides all that business, we've been getting ready for Allie Mae's 2nd birthday party. We didn't have a party for her last year, so I'm really excited. I just know she's going to love it. Allie is absolutely obsessed with the movie Toy Story so I decided to go ahead and plan a Toy Story themed party! The party will be here in two days and I'll write about it asap!
