Pregnancy Update: Week 18

Well I finally feel like I may be out of the morning sickness zone now. I still get some queasy feelings here and there but it's NOTHING like it was before. I can actually eat a good home cooked meal now and even better, I can cook it. My belly is really starting to pop now and finding a comfortable sleep position is getting harder.

I started to finally feel little movement, just from the boy though (my left side). I haven't really gained any weight yet, I think I'm up 4 pounds but I lost close to 20 in the beginning. I've been craving ice water like crazy so I think that has something to do with the weight loss since I was a heavy soda drinking before. Other than water I really haven't been craving anything.

I'm pretty sure this time around I want to try and exercise a little bit, before I get too huge and can't move anymore. I'm terrified my body is going to be wrecked after this. I did a terrible thing and looked up twin postpartum twin bellies and I about died. If you're pregnant with twins, don't Google that. You'll never get the pictures out of your head. That's all I think about now. How gross my stomach is going to look. Loren thinks it's the coolest thing and I literally wanted to punch him when he told me that. Of course he would think it's cool, it's not his body.

I've been having issues with my feet getting swollen already. That's going to get old fast. I've also been having to deal with a racing heart. I've been waking up in the middle of the night feeling like I'm going to die because I can't catch my breath. And it will do the same thing throughout the day. It feels like I just got done sprinting a mile. The doc said it's normal though? It's just my body getting used to the insane amount or hormones.

I keep on saying that I can't wait until this is over but then I remind myself that I'll have TWO newborns so I just need to chill and enjoy being pregnant. Besides, I'm about half way through already.

  1. I had the same issues with breathing- I almost went to the emergency room a few times. If you get on all fours (attractive, I know) and rock around it moves the baby(ies) around. It seemed to help a bit for me.
